2018 U.S. Senior Amateur

August 25 - 30, 2018

Congratulations, Jeff Wilson!

The Tradition Continues…

Jeff Wilson, 55, of Fairfield, Cailfornia, became the first medalist in 31 years to win the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship, claiming the 64th edition with a 2-and-1 victory over defending champions, Sean Knapp, 56, of Oakmont, Pennsylvania.

Eugene Country Club has a long and rich history of hosting prestigious national championships including the 1964 U.S. Junior Amateur, 1978 NCAA Championship, 1993 U.S. Mid-Amateur, 2002 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur, 2008 U.S. Women’s Amateur, and most recently the 2016 NCAA Championships (men’s and women’s).

This year, Eugene Country Club’s membership and staff proudly turned our focus to the U.S. Senior Amateur. The excitement and anticipation leading up to this historic championship was great, knowing that we would be hosting 156 of the world’s best senior amateur golfers. We excel at hosting prominent golf championships and were honored to once again put our course, our membership, and our hospitality on display.

For even more information regarding the Championship, see the Official USGA Page.
